Roxio Appoints Veteran Consultant to its Board of Directors
Milpitas, California - (December 17, 2001) - Roxio, Inc. (Nasdaq:ROXI), The Digital Media Company, announced today Vernon E. Altman to its board of directors. Altman is the latest executive named to Roxio's five-member board.
Altman is a Director of Bain & Company, a leading international consulting firm with 26 offices, including Silicon Valley, that has helped build business success stories for more than 1,000 major companies.
Altman joined Bain at its founding in 1973, founded a number of
its major offices and practices, including the West Coast, and leads
the company's Full Potential Transformation/eBusiness Practice,
which helps companies transform and integrate the Internet into
their businesses. Altman has experience in virtually every important
industry sector, with particular emphasis on the Internet economy,
technology, telecommunications, consumer products and retailing.

also a member of the Board of Visitors, Peter F. Drucker Graduate
School of Management, Claremont Graduate University.
Altman earned bachelors and master's degrees in electrical engineering
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a master's
in management from MIT's Sloan School.
